Reining International Bluegrass Music Association Entertainer of the Year entertains the bluegrass faithful and new audiences with instrumental and vocal virtuosity, cutting-edge material and an energetic-yet-easygoing stage presence. McCoury's history began with the music of Bill Munroe and Flatts and Scruggs. Through the '90s, they collaborated with alternative rock group Phish and Steve Earle.
