2007 Juno winner and Bulgarian-born fretless guitarist, composer and singer Lubo Alexandrov combines the wild Bulgarian dances, festive Gypsy songs, and emotionally-intense Turkish music with cool urban jazz grooves. The Kaba Horo Ensemble, Lubo Alexandrov 's fusion of Balkan music and other world traditions, from the Turkish word "kaba" (low, rough) and the Bulgarian word "horo" (traditional Bulgarian dance) evokes the energetic/wild, ethnic flavour of the music and the group's diverse musical influences.
