Basia Bulat hails from 'the forest city' of London, Ontario, where she found her songs and stories dangling from the trees. She coaxed them down to the ground with ragtime piano melodies, tender-hearted string arrangements and her sweet voice. She and her backing band create an exuberant, enchanting blend of folk and chamber pop, filled with waltzing rhythms and delicate strings. Her charming songs of regret and love, want and joy combine with curious and surprising arrangements, allowing her to conjure many moods and genres.
