He aptly puts his own twist and identifiable style on tunes from Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Foo Fighters, U2, Green Day, Velvet Underground and John Lennon, among others. The arrangements are smartly constructed, Campbell's guitar is economical and crisp, and his interpretive skills and singing are as sharp as during his commercial peak.
