Hamilton trio’s fuzzed-up roots music has been called everything from ‘blackgrass’ to ‘death country,’ neither capturing the transcendent heights of their unique roots music approach. Fall 2017 sees the release of their sixth full-length studio album Ghost Gardens, the title alluding to a phenomenon whereby the perennial gardens of abandoned or forgotten buildings continue to grow and reappear, despite their original caretaker's absence. The album began with the rediscovery of lost song lyrics, demos and rough pencil sketches from the beginning of the band’s career 15 years earlier so represents the band’s rediscovery of their former selves while simultaneously gaining musical and lyrical wisdom.
