A lovely thank-you letter to Grant Lawrence from the winner of CBC Radio 3's Sing For Your Song contest: the prize was a weekend at the CFMF, flights and hotel accommodations.

Dear Grant,

I'm writing to offer my sincere appreciation for the trip to the Calgary Folk Fest that I won through CBC Radio 3's Sing for your Song contest.

My boyfriend Vince and I had an amazing vacation which would never have been possible otherwise. As we are both university students (he in a Master's of Public Policy and Public Administration, and myself in the last year of undergraduate economics) we rarely treat ourselves to trips. When we have taken the occasional trip we've never been able to stay at a reputable hotel. Our financial limitations generally leave us staying at places that can be described as “seedy” at best. Staying in the Westin made our trip all that much more special...
