Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison
Noted Texas songwriter Bruce Robison has penned chart-topping songs for the Dixie Chicks, George Strait and Tim McGraw. His singer/songwriter wife Kelly Willis spent time in Radio Ranch before embarking on a solo career, which included singing “Little Honey” on Thelma and Louise. After successful solo careers, their first LP together is the recently-released Cheater's Game, a traditional country bonanza comprised of originals and smartly-chosen covers that hurt, cheat, doubt, lust and hold on. For all their musical differences – Willis describes herself as rockabilly/’60s, and Bruce as a ‘70s Texas songwriter – they’re both deeply rooted in the hard country, yet deeply progressive, music scene that’s post-Bob Wills Texas.
