All Block Heater events will be separately ticketed. Our Olympic Plaza event, in partnership with Chinook Blast, is free of charge.
Tickets range from $30 to $40 depending on venue and event.
Central United Church is a dry venue with no bar service. We will have non-alcoholic beverages (water, pop, etc.) for sale. And you can zip over to the Legion lounge to enjoy a mid-show beverage!
The Ironwood, Festival Hall, Central United Church and Olympic Plaza are all-ages.
The Blues Can, Palace Theatre and Royal Canadian Legion #1 are NOT all ages. Those attending must be 18+ and will have to provide ID.
No ticket will be required for infants below two years, but they must be accommodated on the parent or guardian’s lap, as no seat will be allocated. Children over two require a seat and, therefore, a paid ticket.
Yes, feel free to bring a picnic/ non-alcoholic beverages. Thermos of hot chocolate, anyone?
Photography/videography with DSLR, mirrorless, and any full-frame or crop sensor digital cameras is not permitted at Block Heater venues unless otherwise accredited by the Calgary Folk Music Festival through our approved media list.
Cell phone/smart phone pictures and videos are encouraged at all our events. Be sure to tag @calgaryfolkfest across platforms.

Block Heater merch will be available at Festival Hall on Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon, as well as the Legion on Friday evening and Saturday evening.
Individual artist merch is available at each venue.

Festival Hall

This venue is entirely wheelchair and reduced-mobility accessible, including washrooms.
The Blues Can
1429 9 Ave SE
This is an 18+ venue
Wheelchair accessible via the main entrance. This venue is a mix of seated and standing with the potential of obstructed sightlines.
The Ironwood Stage & Grill
1229 9 Ave SE
All-ages venue
Wheelchair accessible via the main entrance. Wheelchair-accessible washrooms are located near the back of the venue. This is a seated venue.
Palace Theatre
219 8 Ave SW
This is an 18+ venue
Wheelchair-accessible entrance via the front of the venue (main entrance). Fully accessible main floor. Accessible washrooms are located on the main floor. The venue is a mix of seated and standing.
Central United Church
1317 Ave SW
All-ages venue
The wheelchair-accessible entrance is via the side entrance on 1st Street SW, where patrons can access the elevator to the main floor and lower level. Ask Block Heater volunteers for assistance. Accessible washrooms are located on the lower level. The balcony is not wheelchair accessible and is only reached via stairs.Seated room only, with ample accessible seating available.
The Royal Canadian Legion #1 (main floor)
116 7 Ave SE
This is an 18+ venue
The wheelchair-accessible entrant is via the rear entrance (located in the alley). Ask a Block Heater volunteers or CFMF staff for assistance. The main floor is fully accessible throughout, including washroom access. This is a standing-room venue with limited, obstructed sightline seating available.
The second floor is accessible via an elevator on the main floor.
Olympic Plaza
228 8 Ave SE
All-ages venue.
Olympic Plaza is fully accessible with services provided by Chinook Blast.
