Alex Cuba

Alex Cuba - born Alex Puentes in Cuba, is a Latin Grammy/Juno winner; a singer-songwriter with a vast musical vision who is not tied to tradition. His sugarcane-sweet melodies, pop-soul hooks and powerful guitar riffs relinquish a conventional Latin music stereotype.

His 6th album, “Lo Unico Constante” delved deeper into Alex's songwriting roots, focusing on nylon string guitar and upright bass. It’s influenced by Cuba’s 1940s filin movement which fuses jazz and trova together with poignant lyrical content. Music that influenced his writing style to this day. With an impact date of April 7th, 2017, the album was released to a sell out show in Toronto at Koerner Hall and has gone on to be nominated for Best Singer Songwriter Album at the Latin Grammys 2017 and Best Latin Pop at the 2018 Grammy awards
