Clinton St. John

About Clinton St. John · Calgary, AB

Multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Clinton St. John’s creative output was born out of boredom of small-town life. Formerly of The Cape May and Pale Air Singers and current Florida BC lead singer/songwriter, St. John is an indie storyteller who builds narrative landscapes, along with signature companion drawings and paintings. Dreamy, haunting cinematic soundscapes are built around his surreal psych-folk songs backed by dense, sonic sculptures for a sound that strikes a fine balance between troubadour and avant-rock instincts.

About Susan O'Neill · Ireland

Susan O’Neill’s solo career path was paved as a pre-teen in her town’s brass band plus time as a gospel choir’s youngest member. The husky-voiced backing singer with acclaimed Irish acts Propeller Palms and King Kong Company launched her own musical adventures with Found Myself Lost in 2017, which introduced her unique, otherworldly style and eclectic fusion of traditional folk with rock, soul, gospel and blues. O’Neill’s free-spirited electrifying live performances are characterized by vocals described as “equal parts balm and blowtorch” plus guitar, trumpet and loops.

The woman Bono praised for the simplicity and power of her cover of U2’s “Exit” has further evolved her writing and approach on a 2021 collaboration with lauded songwriter Mick Flannery on the album In the Game. It’s an intense, exquisite themed work about the coming together and falling apart of a relationship: the joys, depth, wild abandon and despair of love.
