At just 26 years old, this Quebec francophone artist’s debut and sophomore albums have gone platinum and gold. Influenced by classic country, folk and vintage pop, his retro-soul songs are delivered in a tremulous, emotive voice.
Born in Rhode Island to a blues-man father, recent Universal Music signee Gabrielle Shonk grew up surrounded by music and started singing at a young age, eventually earning a bachelor’s degree in jazz vocals. Her talent became widely known following her appearance on Quebec’s The Voice in 2014. Her unpretentious indie-folk is highlighted on her recently released debut album.
