All attendees are required to wear a mask in shared spaces. This includes entering and exiting the grounds, travelling to and from washrooms, food trucks, and all other facilities. You may remove your mask upon return to your tarp.

We ask that all patrons maintain social distancing from others while present on the island. Queue markers will be in place for lineups, and tarps will be spaced 2 meters apart with generous pathways for entering and exiting.
We highly recommend and encourage eligible folks to receive their vaccine, but we will not be requiring vaccination for entrance to the event.
Yes. There will be an increased number of sanitizing and handwashing stations available for your use.
No. To maintain required social distancing, please focus your off-home-tarp excursions to food and beverage purchases and bathroom needs rather than going to other home bases within your zone. If you’d like to be close to your friends or family, purchase your passes for the same zone, arrive at the same time and our volunteers will do their best to keep your bases close. To maintain safety, each 6 x 8 tarp will have 2 metres distance around all four edges.
Summer Serenades is a modified event with a significantly reduced audience size, masking, and social distancing protocols in effect. Concerts are on the mainstage only and the usual festival amenities: family area, artisan zone and multiple stages will not be activated. Summer Serenades runs for 7 days, with 9 concert blocks. An event ticket entitles you to a 6 x 8 plot that can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children grouped in zones.. We are unable to offer multiple-day passes, however you may purchase as many plots for as many days as you wish!
No. Due to contact tracing and our screening requirements, Summer Serenades is no re-entry.
Main gate is located adjacent to the River Café. Audience members can get to the main gate via the Sunnyside bridge which links the park to the Curling Club or via the 2nd St bridge, which is 50m east of the Jaipur Bridge (currently under construction). There is no access from the 6th Street causeway.
No. Self-serve bike racks will be available outside of the grounds near the main gate. We are unable to offer our usual monitored bike lock up this year, lock at your own risk.
When you are situated on your tarp, you may remove your mask and consume food and beverages.

A festival chair is the designation we give to chairs with legs shorter than 8 inches. If you can roll a basketball under it, it's too high! We want all patrons to comfortably view the performances. If you are unable to sit in a low-lying chair due to medical reasons, we offer accessible seating to the side of the stage with standard size chairs provided for your comfort, along with viewing screens. Shake, rattle and roll to your heart’s content! Just be mindful of your neighbours and their viewing experience.
Festival patrons are welcome to take amateur photos and video. However, please respect other audience members and the artists by using discretion while shooting. Photos and video must be for personal use only. If an artist has requested that no photos be taken of them, security or media volunteers may alert you.

Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted to be brought into the event. Alcohol is not permitted to be brought in, however, you can purchase beer, cider, and wine from our Big Rock serving area.
Yes. Food is available on site, but our vendor capacity is limited this year. We encourage you to bring your own picnic basket. You can also order from our friends at River Cafe located just outside the grounds! Place your order before heading down and be sure to pick up before entering the event.
Kind of! We are not able to offer the usual Beer Garden experience this year, however, you can purchase beer, cider, and wine from our Big Rock serving area and are able to drink your beverages at your home base on mainfield.
No. Owing to the format of our concert series, we are not able to provide a kids zone.
Yes. If you lose something at the event and contact us after it ends, a member of our team will be happy to help you. You may also approach our info tent.
Each programming block is separately ticketed. There are no multi-day festival passes this year.
Your ticket entitles you and your party to a 6 x 8 plot in a specified zone.
Tickets for the concert series are available in packs that allow for up to 4 adults and 2 children (12 and under) per plot. Youth (13-18) will require a ticket and will be included in the adult ticket allotment.
Each plot accommodates 4 adults and 2 children. Children 12 and under do not require a ticket. Each ticket bundle allows for a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children.

Our tarp spaces can accommodate up to a maximum of 6 bodies. Due to spacing constraints, no more than 4 adults may occupy a tarp space. Your party can consist of any of the following.
• 1 adult and 5 children
• 2 adults and 4 children
• 3 adults and 3 children
• 4 adults and 2 children
• 4 adults and 1 child
• 4 adults
Feel free to stretch out in your tarp plot! Limited bleacher seating is available for all shows for parties of 2 and solo seating, accessible through our ticketing provider.
Please note that for bleacher seats, airplane rules apply. If the child cannot comfortably sit on a lap for the duration of the performance, they will need a paid ticket. This is a necessity in order to adhere to distancing requirements for our bleachers.
Our screen-only zone is located just East of mainstage and offers a low-cost, lower stimulation concert experience with easy access to our food and beverage vendors.
Ticket bundle prices vary per zone based on proximity to the stage. We are not able to offer student/senior/youth ticket prices for Summer Serenades.
Owing to time and space constraints, and the number of folks our volunteers will be seating, we are unable to guarantee accommodations for seating multiple plots together. If you are purchasing multiple plots within the same zone and wish to be seated together, ensure that your party arrive and line up together and our volunteers will do their best to keep your plots close.

No. Ticket sales for Summer Serenades will be available online only prior to the event. Our ticket page is mobile-friendly, you can always purchase from your phone.
No. If you wish to attend multiple blocks, you will need to purchase a plot for each concert block.
No. Owing to licensing restrictions, spacing guidelines, and fire code, each home base can only have a maximum of 4 adults.

No. Summer Serenades is no re-entry.
No. Once you are assigned a space and seated, your plot cannot be moved.
In the event that Summer Serenades is cancelled or postponed, our team will contact you with full details and to complete your refund request.
In the absence of a full event cancellation, Summer Serenades will run rain or shine and all sales are final.

Draws open at 9am MT each day of the Summer Serenades series (July 22-28) and draws will be made each evening no later than 9pm. The draw will be made via RNG.
Tickets must be purchased online using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Visa debit and/or Mastercard debit)
You will receive an email confirmation with your tickets following your payment. Your email address must be entered correctly with no errors when purchasing to ensure you receive your tickets.
If the transaction is approved, you will receive a confirmation message with your order ID on the web page. An email confirmation will be sent to you with order ID, product description and payment information. A second email will be sent to you including all of the information in the confirmation email along with the raffle ticket(s) containing the raffle number(s).
Ticket purchasers should check their spam and junk mail folders if they have not received their tickets within 10 minutes.
If you received a confirmation at the end of your purchase, your tickets are being processed for the draw.
Please note that even if you have not received your tickets at the time of draw, you are still entered in the draw and can be contacted by the Calgary Folk Music Festival should you have the winning tickets. Tickets are placed into the draw immediately after purchasing.
All ticket sales are final. There will be no refunds issued to anyone for any reason. All tickets purchased and entered into the draw cannot be refunded, including if ticket purchasers made an error in selecting the amount of tickets they desire to purchase.
The holder of the winning ticket will have until 10am MST the following day to present the winning ticket to the 50/50 Licensee. You can contact the Calgary Folk Music Festival by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You will need to forward a copy of your purchase email and winning ticket along with a piece of government issued photo ID. The name on the government issued photo identification must match the name that was used to purchase the ticket. The prize will be distributed within 30 days.
If the winner does not come forward within the time window from the draw announcement to 10 am the following day, the Calgary Folk Music Festival will roll that jackpot into the next day’s jackpot. If the final 50/50 draw does not have a winner come forward within 12 hours the entire jackpot will revert to the Festival.
Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. The prize will be awarded to the individual whose name appears on the winning ticket.
Funds from the Summer Serenades 50/50 Daily Raffles go to the Folk Festival Society of Calgary.
